Jesyca Durchin is the founder and CEO of Nena Media, Inc., a leading developer and producer of interactive and filmed entertainment for girls since 2000. She is also the founder and CEO of Digital Playspace, a company dedicated to the creation of safe, online playspaces for children.

With Nena Media, Jesyca has created and produced girls' games, films and rides for leading brands such as Buena Vista Games, Walt Disney Imagineering, Walt Disney Home Video, Mattel Interactive, and Mattel Entertainment.

Most recently, she has created All Star Cheer Squad with Gorilla Systems, Inc. for the Wii and DS platforms. A high energy, ground breaking sports title for girls. All Star Cheer Squad will be released by THQ fall 2008.

Jesyca is currently focused on the creation of a new online brand-Digital Dollhouse. Digital Dollhouse is a creative online experience that gives members the chance to create the virtual home of their dreams. The first in a line of planned online toys, Digital Dollhouse will be presenting The Dream Victorian in September 2008. 

As a producer of animated films for girls, Jesyca has led production of seven feature-length, animated Barbie DVD films. Her first film, Barbie In the Nutcracker — a 3D animated feature-length film released in 2001 — won Best Animated Video at the DVD Premier Awards and went on to be translated into 32 languages. Jesyca's 2002 DVD project Barbie as Rapunzel, featuring Academy Award® winner Angelica Huston. The DVD was also nominated in 9 different DVD Premier Awards categories, and was a best selling video worldwide. It is estimated that her seven films have sold more than 30 million units around the world.

Jesyca is an on-going consultant with Walt Disney Imagineering for the development and design of theme park rides and interactive attractions. She specializes in contributing ideas and concepts that appeal to women and girls.

Prior to founding Nena Media, Jesyca served in a number of executive positions with Mattel Media, including Executive Producer of the Girl Software Division. Jesyca produced many of the hugely successful Barbie software titles, including Barbie Fashion Designer which became the fastest selling children's CD-ROM title in 1996 and was included in the Smithsonian Institution's Permanent Research Collection in 1998. Jesyca led the development and continuation of the Purple Moon: Interactive Friendship Adventures for Girls Series (CD-ROM and Internet) when Mattel purchased Purple Moon in 1999. Jesyca was also the producer/creator of the hit CD-ROM Clueless, based on the Paramount entertainment brand. The success of the CD-ROM titles spurred new interest in other platforms, and Jesyca produced games for Sony Playstation and Nintendo Game Boy.

In 1994, Jesyca began working in the entertainment software field with Viridis Entertainment, producing the CD-ROM title Eco East Africa. The creation of this ground-breaking title was based on the concept that women and girls would enjoy playing challenging, non-violent games. Eco East Africa received the Four Star Award of Excellence from Home PC Magazine.

As a script development consultant, Jesyca has worked for most of the major studios and spent two years working with Tim Burton Productions on such projects as Nightmare Before Christmas.

Jesyca Durchin has a degree in business management and media from Loyola Marymount University and the spelling of her first name is not her doing.
